佐世保市出身の作家・村上龍氏がプロデュース！「クラブトロピカーナ」。キューバの歌姫による歌や、キューバ・サルサバンドにキューバ屋台も登場。カリブの熱い夜に酔いし れよう！と言ったふれこみに対応す会場の装飾デザインを依頼されました。村上氏の要望の中には純粋で素朴と言うキーワードもあり、この抽象的なイメージをどのよう なカタチのデザイン変えていくか腕の見せどころですね〜とおだてられて、デザイン作業にはいりました。 おだてられても良いアイデアは出てきません。とにかく注意したのはキューバ風トロピカルとアジアンテイスト風トロピカルのイメージを混同しないようにプランを立てていきました。キューバ屋台は結構人気があったようです。バーイテンダーが黒人で屋台イメージにピッタし。考えると一番の装飾物はこの人だったのかもしれません。

Bird tender is a black person and pittered into a stall image. If you think about it, perhaps the best decoration was this person.
